Day 5 - Beach Walk

Distance 13km | Elevation 167m

On your final day, you leave behind fynbos, mountains, farmlands and vineyards as you enter Walker Bay Nature Reserve. After scrambling over a sand dune, you are welcomed by ‘Die Plaat,’ one of the most pristine beaches along the South African coastline.

As you amble along the coast, Hermanus, the sea and the mountains unfold before you. You are just 5 km from where your journey began. Leaving the beach, you join the dramatic coastal cliff path - perhaps even spotting a whale. We say farewell at Burgundy restaurant with a celebratory meal and ice-cold drink. Departure 14.00 - either collection by your shuttle from Burgundy or we’ll return you to your car.

This walk follows the foothills of the upper peaks, offering gorgeous views over the Ruens region, known for its vibrant fynbos and golden canola fields.
